In Yoshkar-Ola, two hackers will appear before the court, who for 4 months distributed a program that hacked other people's smartphones.

According to the investigators, the defendants in the case from January to May, in order to gain access to other people's mobile devices, used a computer program that allows them to block, copy and modify the information contained on them.
At the moment, the actions of the hackers have been suppressed by officers of the UFSB for the RME, and the perpetrators are awaiting trial. For such a crime, the perpetrators face up to 5 years in prison, according to the press service of the Russian Prosecutor's Office for RME.

On December 5, 2019, the authorities of the United States and Great Britain made public the charges against the Muscovite (and formerly a resident of Ukraine) Maksim Yakubets and a resident of Yoshkar-Ola, Igor Turashev. According to US law enforcement, they are the leaders of a cybercriminal group calling itself Evil Corp. This group, better known as Dridex, has run massive fraudulent schemes around the world that have earned them over $ 100 million.
